IDEO Health Workshop

October 25, 2017
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

150 Forest Ave
Palo Alto, CA 94301

This event will introduce the innovation culture and process of Design Thinking as it applies to the discovery of unmet clinical needs and to the conceptualization and development of commercial medical technologies. Dr. Azimpour will guide a private tour and present the approach using case examples from IDEO's work.

IDEO is a Stanford-born global design company (founded 1978) that has been at the forefront of creating change through design with such innovations as the first commercial mouse for Apple, the first portable AED for Philips, and the modern-day concept of human-centered design

As Director of Health, Dr. Azimpour guides multidisciplinary teams at IDEO to develop products, services, and systems for key clients in the health sector, from medical device start-ups to global health corporations.

Dr. Azimpour’s team’s recent projects span topics of high-risk patient engagement, healthcare disparities, next-generation surgical robotics, transcutaneous drug delivery, airway management, vascular access, transcatheter cardiac intervention, and disease-specific objectives in stroke, diabetes, heart failure, and arrhythmias.
